Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) Program

With the implementation of the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) Program to the most economically challenged sector in the province of La Union, the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office 1 (DOST-1) through the Provincial Science and Technology Office – La Union (PSTO-LU) identified the Municipality of Sudipen as one of the new beneficiaries of the CEST program for the year 2024.
The CEST Program is a DOST program that deploys packaged of Science and Technology interventions that aim to build progressive, resilient, and empowered communities for the economically challenged sectors in the country.
CEST DOST Provincial Director Jonathan M. Viernes and CEST Focal Coordinator Joseph T. Eisma discussed the implementation process of the CEST Program to our Municipal Mayor, Mayor Weng together with MPDO Susan Natividad, today, January 30, 2024.
