The National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) conducted a 2-day Awareness Seminar on current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) with Emphasis to Food Safety and Skills Training on Bubod Making and Rice Wine (Tapey) Processing. It was attended by the different officers and members of the Sudipen Women’s Indigenous People Organization (SWIPO) of the municipality. Hon. Wendy Joy D. Buquing encouraged the trainees to focus and participate for them to acquire working knowledge on the basics of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety that will benefit not only them but also benefits their consumers. The seminar aimed to bring awareness to the trainees concerning food safety and quality, specifically to increase responsiveness to basic hygiene and reduce the risk of food borne diseases.
